Cloud Computing -Mark Roosevelt

With “Private Cloud” taking over as the media’s latest technology sound bite, we’re pretty steamed about the haziness of this terminology. Mark Roosevelt, Sales VP at managed (Cloud) services provider Prominic.NET for 4½ years, has come down from Cloud 9 to demystify the topic. He’ll clear away the fog surrounding this new computing platform, then guide you through a veritable nebula of key considerations: Why Private over Public? Should I consider a hybrid approach? Should I “roll” my own Cloud(s) or outsource? What are the special design considerations for “yellow” Clouds? How can I keep my Cloud from becoming a Tornado? Fear not! Mark has given his solemn promise not to demonstrate vaporware or overuse Cloud-based metaphors (yeah, right). Be prepared to have some fun, but bring your virtual umbrella–this could get heavy!

Balance of Power: From IT to Line of Business, The Collaboration – Carlos Casas

There has been a dramatic shift of technology influence in organizations. We would like to share with you some of our findings with clients who are shifting to a self-service model of technology that may not always involve the IT Department. As technologists, you will learn how collaborative technologies within specific industry contexts, creates business value.  Come to this session and learn how to apply these new strategic principles to your organization and help bring value to your Lotus investment to your decision makers (LOB).  Finally, we will share a few success stories on how the Collaboration Agenda created and resulted in measurable business outcomes.
Why this session?   This session is important to help attendees gain an understanding of Line-of-business value and collaboration from a non-IT perspective.
